Integer Research Ltd, a business intelligence company, will host the second annual diesel emissions strategy conference in Amsterdam on 28-29 June. The conference, titled "Euro 5&6" will raise the topical issues of how Euro 4 and 5 heavy-duty diesel emissions regulations are impacting on truck manufacturers, equipment & fuel suppliers and commercial vehicle operators. This year's conference also looks ahead to discuss the new technologies and business models that will enable the transport industry to embrace further emissions reductions as Euro 6 regulations are drafted.
The programme features truck manufacturers, oil companies, AdBlue suppliers, governments and components manufacturers. The keynote presentation will be delivered by Bernhard Heil, DaimlerChrysler's Vice President of Product Engineering Systems, Powertrain.
Euro 5&6 will address the increasingly important subject of harmonisation between European and North American standards. The US Environment Protection Agency will present its outlook and Eaton Corp will reveal next-generation emission control strategies for Euro 6 and EPA 2010.
Major suppliers of AdBlue - the urea-based fluid used in selective catalytic reduction (SCR) vehicles will come together at Euro 5&6 in a series of presentations and panel discussions on supply, pricing, quality and diagnostics, together with diesel fuel suppliers including Shell and Total. Public transport operator TRANSDEV will discuss its experience of introducing Euro 4 & 5 vehicles on busy transport routes.
