The 36 automotive technicians who achieve the highest marks on their question paper in Top Technician, the annual skills contest launched four years ago, will be able to take a free shot at either diagnostic or master level Automotive Technician Accreditation (ATA) at their nearest certified centre, during February. Question papers are available via the website www.toptechnician.co.uk and can also be requested by calling 01634 261262 or by emailing sally@toptechnician.co.uk.
The deadline for completed papers is Wednesday 10 January. Those who achieve ATA will be given a shorter, second paper. The highest scoring twelve will then be invited to the live finals of Top Technician 2007, which takes place from 24-26 April at the Automotive Trade Show at the NEC Birmingham. The winner will be announced at an Awards Ceremony in June 2007 and he or she will take home the top prize of ¡ê2,000 (tax free), the title of ¡®Top Technician 2007¡¯ and plenty of priceless business promotion.
Top Technician 2007 is sponsored by Bosch and Vauxhall Trade Club. This year's technical partners are the Institute of the Motor Industry (the governing body for ATA) and MototeK. |
